m law group advised its long-term client Brooks Automation, Inc. (“Brooks”) in its acquisition of DMS Dynamic Micro Systems Semiconductor Equipment GmbH (“DMS”).
By acquiring of all shares from DMS Beteiligungs GmbH, an affiliate of HSH Nordbank AG, Brooks has taken over 100 % of the German machine manufacturer DMS. The acquisition was carried out through Brooks Automation (Germany) GmbH, Jena, a subsidiary of Brooks Automation, Inc.
Brooks is a NASDAQ-listed company and is a worldwide leading enterprise in automation technology. The company develops and manufactures products and systems for the automation of plants of the semiconductor industry and is a leading supplier to that industry, in particular in the fields robotics for wafer handling and vacuum systems.
DMS develops and produces systems and consumables for the semiconductor industry and the manufacturers of silicon discs and photo masks. With these systems, the company is a leading supplier of cleaning machinery for critical components as well as for storage, administration and handling of silicon discs and photo masks.
