The German Federal Government has started the National Strategy Process “Innovations in the Medical Device Industry”. The first sessions of five task forces were held in February 2012. The Federal Ministry of Research and Education, together with the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and the Federal Ministry of Health organize the strategy process at a concerted action at inter-departmental level. Peter W. Kremer, partner at m law group, participates, upon invitation by the Government, in the Strategy Process as a member of one of the task forces.
The Strategy Process brings together various key players in politics, science, industry and the health care sector throughout the year 2012 in five task forces being held in Berlin. The economic and health care policy objective of the Strategy Process is to accelerate the innovation process in the medical device sector and to make an active contribution to strengthen Germany as a prime location for the global medical device industry.
As to the subject, the task force 5 concentrates on the level of the market development within the innovation process. Peter W.
